Very special win for Hughes yard
Guitar Pete and Jonathan Burke on the way to victory

Guitar Pete got the job done as expected in the Kieran Kelly Memorial Beginners Chase, scoring at odds of 4/11 in Kilbeggan's fifth race, in the hands of Jonathan Burke.
Kelly tragically lost his life here on August 8th, 2003, in a fall from Balmy Native, and his boss, the late Dessie Hughes, trained from the yard that houses Guitar Pete.
Of course Hughes' daughter Sandra is in charge at Osborne Lodge now, and one of her stable stars, Guitar Pete, scored by a length and a half from Rendezvous Peak
"This track is a bit tight for him but it looked an ideal opportunity. He wants a big galloping track and the bigger the fence the better for him. He jumped super," commented Hughes.
"He just does enough, that's him, and he definitely has a future over fences. The more racing he gets the better he'll get. We'll see what novices come up for him.
"It's very special to win Kieran's race."
