Ainsi Va La Vie maintained her unbeaten record, as she made it three from three in the finale at Gowran, the Listed Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mucklemeg Mares Flat Race.

Having impressed on her debut at Limerick in July, the daughter of Lavirco was made to work for her second success at Galway last month.

Available at 11/8 last night, the French bred grey opened on-course at evens, before going off the 5/4 market leader in the colours of the Supreme Horse Racing Club.

Settled behind the leaders on the outer by Patrick Mullins, she took closer order in third on the approach to the straight.

She hit the front a furlong and a half from home, and kept on well from there to see off stable mate Glens Harmony (9/2 to 7/2 on-course) and Katie Walsh by two lengths.

Minnies Secret (16/1) completed the placings another seven and a half lengths back in third, with Derek O'Connor in the saddle for Charles Byrnes.

Willie Mullins, who was completing a treble on the card having won earlier with Sharjah and Mystic Theatre said afterwards: "That's more like the mare that we see at home than the Galway run."

"That was very good and we're very pleased with that. I'd imagine I'll probably go jumping with her now as I don't think there's much point at sticking at this. She'd hardly run at Cheltenham as an eight-year-old!

"With Glens (Harmony) I'll have a chat with the owner and see what they want to do, to see if they want to go jumping.

"I'd imagine we'll stick at this and try and win one of these good fillies' bumper and maybe leave the jumping until next year. Patrick will probably want her to stay in bumpers.

"I'm delighted with the two of them and the other filly probably just didn't handle the ground. We might put her away for a spring/summer campaign. Galway could be on her agenda with Mr Mee as an owner."
