Teologia stayed on stoutly in the closing stages to land the spoils in the concluding two-mile handicap at Thurles this afternoon. Lost Comet made the running with Jim Bolger's charge her nearest pursuer throughout.
Rory Cleary sent his mount up to dispute with half a mile to go and the Teofilo filly gained a narrow advantage early in the straight.
The 10/1 shot started to assert passing the furlong pole and went on to record a length success.
Travelling head lad Ger Flynn said afterwards:-
"The plan was to go forward and Rory said she jumped out well and she stays really well and she handled the surface.
"They went a really good clip all the way, she stayed well, and hopefully it's onwards and upwards.
"She is a half-sister to Glamorous Approach and she won a 1m1f Listed race as a two year old."
