Good Thyne Tara justified strong market support to take the feature at Cork this evening, the Little Hours Play After Racing Hurdle, in impressive fashion.

Placed at the Punchestown Festival, and second in a Listed contest at Killarney, the daughter of Kayf Tara was last seen winning easily at Ballinrobe in May.

Available at 13/8 in early shows for this two and a half mile contest, the Willie Mullins trained eight-year-old opened on-course at 5/6, before eventually going off the 8/13 favourite under Paul Townend.

Settled in third, the Neil King owned victor came with her challenge before three out and soon eased to the front.

She stretched clear on the run to the last, keeping on well to score easily by eight lengths. Woodland Opera (4/1) finished second under Barry Geraghty for Jessica Harrington, while the easy to back Arctic Fire (7/2 out to 8s on-course) was another half a length away in third.

The Grade 1 winning latter was making his debut for Denis Cullen this evening, returning to action for the first time since April of last year.

Townend said afterwards: "She is turning inside out this year and gained a lot of experience in good races last year and it's paying dividends now.

"She has developed a lot and could jump fences too."
