Preview TRAMORE 16th Aug

Fri 15th Aug 2008, 15:30

Fran Berry has a fantastic record at Tramore and he looks to have another good chance of a winner with Sesenta in the Madra Dog Foods Handicap, the highlight of a seven-race card starting at 5.20.

Willie Mullins' filly kept decent company over timber during the winter months, but showed that had not taken the edge off her Flat performances when taking second at Galway last time.

Likely to strip fitter for that contest, she should prove very stern opposition to handicap debutante Joys Island and the lightly-weighted Keel Castle Maine.

One Zero made a pleasing enough debut when third at Wexford last month and Dermot Weld will be hopeful of success for the Theatrical filly in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden.

Rayina also made the frame in a Wexford maiden last time and could get involved, while William Fitzpatrick's Galway third Skiathos Queen is another expected to be in the shake-up.

Tracey Collins appears to have her string in fine form and she could have another winner courtesy of Jettymarc in the R. McDonald And Sons Handicap.

The three-year-old won with a bit to spare last time and though 9lb higher in the handicap, he could still get the better of the reopposing Dirtybirdie and the Galway runner-up Drunken Sailor.

Multicultural has his first run on these shores since transferring from David Simcock's yard and he could follow up his recent Yarmouth success in the W.L.R. FM Handicap.

Now in the care of Eoin Doyle, a lot will rest on whether the handicapper has over-reacted to that success, and if he has, then expect Baskerville and Saranjo to be snapping at his heels.

The opening Tote Price Promise Claiming Race looks an ideal opportunity for Power Elite to find the winners' enclosure once more, though if he is off his game, Beliar and Dallool could take advantage.
