The Ballyneety Mares Rated Novice Hurdle went to Whosgotyanow who made all the running under Cathal Landers.
The daughter of Getaway, who had won on her first start for Andy Slattery at Kilbeggan a couple of weeks ago, had all of her rivals in trouble racing downhill to the home straight for the final time and skipped over the last two hurdles to beat Lady Lingo (7/1) by four and three quarter lengths.
The winner is owned by tenor Dr Ronan Tynan.
“Henry (de Bromhead) had all the ground work done with her and I got her but she doesn't show a lot at home," said Slattery.
"The only good bit of work she has done is when I brought her to the Curragh but she won easy at Kilbeggan and seemed to win easy again there.
"I was running her back a week too soon but this race really fitted in. She'll stay three miles and we'll hopefully nick a bit of black-type. She is a grand honest mare and will continue on for the summer."
He added "I have seven jumpers to run although a few of the point-to-pointers came in recently. I find the flat easier and there is a worldwide market for horses whereas you're either in the clique or not with the jumping market."
"Ronan has five horses with me and that's his fifth winner with me - he do be complaining about the bill but that'll keep him happy!"
