The Jim Bolger trained Roches Cross won the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden at Listowel today, making a winning debut under stable jockey Kevin Manning.

The son of Whipper chased the leaders before moving through to lead entering the straight, before staying on well for a half length win over fellow newcomer Tiz The Shot

Bolger was not present but Manning did subsequently state “Roches Cross was always travelling well and saw out the trip well.”
