Equation landed a ‘touch’ (6s this morning into 11/4) in the opening June 29th At Sligo Mares Maiden Hurdle, getting home by half a length from the favourite, Royal Crew

The latter was held up a touch in her run before the straight at which stage, Andrew McNamara on Equation had stolen a march.

Try as she might Royal Crew couldn't quite get there and there was a further five lengths back to the third placed Strike An Ark (struggling when making a mistake at the last).

Peter Casey bred and trains the successful daughter of Lahib for P.J. Jones and his son Francis led her up.

There was no alteration after a steward's enquiry.
