Psycho too hot for his Naas rivals
Psycho came on a huge degree for his comeback run at the track behind Captain Cee Bee 25 days ago with a convincing success in the Become A Naas Annual Member Chase.
A supremely confident Davy Russell pulled the sweet-travelling Psycho to the stand's side in the straight and he eased on from the last to beat the front-running favourite Osana
Psycho has impressed with his fencing since tackling the larger obstacles and his last run served to restore belief in the jumping department after the fall the nine-year-old took at the Punchestown Festival.
Tony Martin, the winning trainer said: "He's done it well and deserved that. He jumped well, particularly at those fences before the straight and that really kept him in the race. Davy still had a bit of horse at the finish.”
"He has plenty of options at Christmas and we'll decide in a few weeks as to where he'll run. He is in the Lexus and if it cut up into a small field that could be an option.
"He is in the Dial-A-Bet over two miles too – he has plenty of entries."
