O'Hares back in Naas winners' enclosure
The O'Hare family have found memories of this meeting last year, having saddled a terrific treble, and Sweet Shock who claimed the bumper then, was back a year on to land the Brown Lad Handicap Hurdle at Naas.
Katie Walsh produced the 4/1 favourite to lead at the second last but he had to battle hard to land the spoils.
The German-bred was followed through at the second last by Cass Bligh and the pair battled it out going to the last.
Sweet Shock just got the better of that rival on the run-in but then had to contend with the flying finish of Dancing Tornado who was produced up the rail and pushed the winner to the narrowest of margins at the line.
Sweet Shock was turning out quickly again after scoring at Punchestown on Wednesday and trainer Michael O'Hare, said of his mother Tracey's charge:
"I wasn't even thinking about this on Wednesday but he came out of the race so well I let him take his chance.
"He looks a real nice horse. They went very slow early and I didn't think it would suit him but he kept batttling."
The O'Hare clan had claimed the race last year with Montana Slim, while Bale O'Shea had been the middle leg of the treble in the final three contests on the card.
