Michael O'Callaghan feels both Magical Fire and Spy Ring are capable of making their presence felt in the Grangecon Stud Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday.

Spy Ring made a successful debut at Cork before finishing down the field in a Listed contest at Naas last month, while Magical Fire got off the mark at the third attempt at Fairyhouse recently.

Stable jockey Kieren Fallon has elected to ride Magical Fire, but O'Callaghan insists there is little to split the pair.

O'Callaghan said: "We run the two of them and they're two lovely fillies who have both won their maidens.

"Kieren (Fallon) has gone for Magical Fire because he won on her, but we don't think there's much between them. We can't separate them at home.

"They're two very decent fillies who we think are definitely Stakes class, so we'll see how they go on Sunday."

The O'Callaghan duo feature in a nine-strong field that includes a major contender from Britain in the form of James Tate's Seafront

The Patrick Prendergast-trained Ellery Lane turns out just nine days after making a good impressive on her debut at Limerick.

"She did it very well the other day, but it's obviously a big step up from a Limerick maiden to a Group Three," said the Kildare-based trainer.

"If she can get some black type we'll be delighted and anything after that is a bonus.

"The less rain they get the better as she is a filly who handles fast ground very well.

"It's probably a bit closer to Limerick than we'd like, but you can't have everything and we're happy to let her take her chance."

Aidan O'Brien saddles Roly Poly who finished eighth in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot last week, while his son, Joseph, runs Hyzenthlay. Elusive Beauty Lady Beware and Miss Cogent complete the field.
