Una Matata (18/1) ran down front-running odds-on favourite Declaree placed for the seventh time in as many outings, to win the Kilminfoyle House Stud Fillies Maiden.
Billy Lee 's mount, fitted with a tongue-tie for the first time on start number three, came from mid-division to collar the market leader in the final strides for a half-length success.
Chris Timmons, who trains the daughter of Mehmas for Joanne Lavery, said: “She ran very well in Roscommon where the ground was probably a bit slow for her.
“She was a bit fresh and gassy then. Gary Carroll rode her that day and he thought she was going to run a big race turning in but she just took a blow. He felt she'd improve a lot for it.
“I'm delighted for Joanne who works very hard.
“Billy was happy with her, he said she's still green and there is more to come.”
