Miradane proved too strong for his rivals when running out a convincing winner of the two-mile maiden hurdle at Ballinrobe.
Martin Ferris was positive on the 7/2 shot who hit the front going out on the final circuit.
Mouse Morris' charge poached a few lengths from his rivals before the third last and had the field at work before the next. Mic Milano and Swampfire tried to give chase and although the former stuck on he couldn't peg back his rival in the closing stages.
The winner galloped on strongly to record a four-and-three-quarter length success. Chiltern Hills has been sent off the the 5/4 favourite on her hurdling debut but was never a danger and could only finish a moderate fourth.
Miradane was making his seventh start over timber and had finished a fair fourth on his latest outing at Cork in March.
"He wants better ground and I was told to ride him handy and use his experience," said Ferris.
"When he hit the front I was able to get a breather into him and do my own thing. He did it well.
"I'm not sure if Mouse will go for a winners' of one or a handicap with him. He looks badly treated in handicaps."
