Count Of Limonade held on gamely to make all the running in the nursery at Killarney.
The 5/4 favourite had his field off the bridle early in the straight and was asked for an effort two furlongs out by Joseph O'Brien.
He had three rivals stacked up behind him at the furlong pole but knuckled down to his task. Teoirim finished best and pressed the winner hard in the closing stages but just failed by a head to peg back the front-runner.
The winner was dropping back in class having been third in Group Three company at the Curragh last time.
"It got tough there in the end but he's a tough horse," said Aidan O'Brien, who was paying a rare visit to the track.
"I think he's one that will progress. The premier nursery at Listowel is probably a race we'll look at.
"I think it's about 20 years since I was last here back when I was riding as an amateur.
"I have to say I'm really impressed with the track - it looks in great condition."
