Lethal Promise was an easy winner of the opener at Naas this evening, the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden.
Second on her first two starts, the Willie McCreery trained bay was expected to go one place better today, and went off the 4/11 favourite in the colours of the Irish National Stud Breeding & Racing Club.
Settled in second by Billy Lee, the daughter of Invincible Spirit, cruised through to lead over a furlong out and soon went clear, going on to score easily by six and a half lengths.
The front-running Fantasy (6/1) finished second under Seamie Heffernan for Aidan O'Brien, while newcomer Third Of March (25/1) ran on well to take third, another length and a quarter back.
"She's after learning so much from the two runs. She's a lovely filly and she's maturing," said McCreery.
"I think she went up 6kg in the last three weeks which you'd love and I just love her attitude as well.
"The hood is just helping her but she's learning all the time.
"We'll look at the race in Tipperary (Listed Tipperary Stakes - 5th July) or the Group 3 fillies race on Derby weekend at the Curragh (Grangecon Stud Stakes - 1st July).
"She's growing and she's really a filly for next year so we won't be too hard on her. She has loads of pace."
The winner is a full-sister to Promising who won last time out at Wolverhampton, and is entered to run in Newmarket on Friday.
