Colin Keane wasted no time adding to his record-breaking haul, at the Curragh today, when partnering winner number 128 for the season on board Pretty Boy Floyd in the Duralock Racecourse Fencing Handicap.
It was a game front-running performance from the Sarah Dawson-trained gelding in the five furlong contest as he recorded his third success at the track.
The six-year-old wasn't for passing today as he repelled a strong challenge by Shelly Banks inside the final furlong to secure a length-and-a-quarter victory at odds of 15/2.
“It's great, I can always relax in the morning when I know Colin is on board as there are no instructions to be given,” said Dawson.
“The horse has just been waiting for a bit of juice in the ground. He's been running consistently all season but he's just better when there is a bit of juice.
“I think there are two more options for him before the season is over although I see it's due to be another dry week next week. I'm the only one praying for rain!
“It's great to get that today. It's so lovely because last season when he won, none of the owners were here. We were here on our own all the time so it's lovely to have Gerry and Alicia here. It makes all the difference.”
