Colin Keane doubled his Dundalk score when Harbour Beacon justified even money favouritism in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Median Auction Maiden.
Keane earlier got favourite Rivellino home narrowly for Ado McGinness in the claimer.
Whilst the margin was just a length and a quarter, the Qatar Racing Limited-owned and Ger Lyons-trained Harbour Beacon was pretty convincing in getting off the mark on his third start from Shahroze
Keane said afterwards: "He's a lovely big horse. He's still very raw and green with plenty of improvement left in him.
"I'd say that's the minimum he wants to go (an extended ten furlongs), another two furlongs would be no bother to him."
D.P. McDonogh, rider of Sir Danilo (GB), trained by F.Birrane, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung badly right handed throughout.
The Stewards received a report from Mr. Hugh Hynes, Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that D.A. McCormack, rider of Serval Cat (USA), weighed in at 1.3lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his record, cautioned him.
