Jetson flies in
Jetson placed a number of times last season with Noel Meade, came good on his first start for Jessica Harrington in the paddypower.com Mobile Betting I N H Stallion Owners EBF Maiden Hurdle.
The six-year-old son of Oscar, a 9/4 chance, got a nice run up the far rail to lead early in the straight and kept on well on the run-in to beat Daring Article (6/1) by three and three quarter lengths.
The front two pulled eight lengths clear of Andunowhat in third, with well-backed 7/4 favourite Saint Gervais finishing fourth.
Winning rider Robert Power said, “They didn't go that quick and he arrived there travelling well. He was a bit green when he hit the front and that's probably why he made a mistake two out but he kept on well.”
