Inthepocket (1/2 fav) returned from the best part of a year off to make short work of his rivals in the Wexford Racecourse Members Supporters Club Beginners Chase.
The Grade 1-winning novice hurdler hadn't been seen since chasing home Facile Vega on his chasing debut at Navan last November.
Mark Walsh made all the running on the son of Blue Bresil and had only Farren Glory to worry about from a long way out as the rest struggled to be competitive.
The latter came off the bridle on the approach to the straight and Inthepocket was untroubled from that point to record a 15 length victory.
After Heart Wood in the feature, it was a quick double for Henry de Bromhead, celebrating his 52nd birthday, and he said of J P McManus' seven-year-old: "I'm delighted with that. He has always been a really nice horse. He jumped great and Mark was brilliant on him as ever. He is a really exciting horse for us. He just had a minor issue last season and we decided to put him away.
"We definitely feel he is probably better going left-handed than right. The Grade 1 at Leopardstown over Christmas is gone now but we willfind something for him. We are just delighted with today."
