Good Karma for McNamara
The Racecard Advertisement @ Sligo Maiden caused a surprise when 33/1 outsider Karma from the Tom Hogan stable came home in front under the guidance of Emmet McNamara.
McNamara settled the Fram filly in mid-division before he produced her to lead at the two furlong pole. The pair kept on well for a length win over 11/8 favourite Barrel Of Fun
Winning trainer Hogan stated afterwards: “I provided Emmet with his first winner at Tipperary and we've been waiting a while to get the second one.”
“The owner Morgan Calahan is a neighbour of mine and his son Thomas bought this filly and his daughter Jessica is my secretary.”
“She’s a well bred filly and we're not too sure where we’ll go next with her.”
