Following 3mm of rain overnight, the going at Galway is Soft, Heavy in places. There is a dry and breezy day ahead with the risk of showers.
The meeting gets under way at 2.05pm and there has been early money for Barry Murphy's Pakens Rock in the novice hurdle at 3.10pm.
The six-year-old gelding won his maiden hurdle, over a similar trip on testing ground, at this track last month and trades around 11/2 from as big as 9/1.
In the same race, Dumhach Thra is easy to back at around 4/1 from 5/2. He won a handicap hurdle on the same Ballybrit card in September.
The ground in Navan is Soft ahead of racing tomorrow. The weather is forecast to be mainly dry today and tomorrow with the risk of showers.
In relation to the weekend action, Limerick (Saturday and Sunday) is Heavy on the Flat course and Soft on the National Hunt track. There is an unsettled forecast.
The ground at Fairyhouse (Saturday) is Soft with an unsettled forecast.
The going in the Curragh (Sunday) is Soft, Yielding in places on the round course and Soft in the straight. Again there is an unsettled forecast. Racing will be on the stands' side of the track and the stalls are in the centre for all sprints.
