Freneys Well gains compensation
The Enda Bolger trained Freneys Well gained some compensation after finishing second in the La Touche Cup here on Thursday after he landed the Irish Field Chase in the hands of Nina Carberry.
Carberry was always prominent aboard the ten year old and hit the front at the second last and kept on well close home to record a three length win over stablemate Drombeag
A delighted Bolger said afterwards: "We've had a great week thank god! I was a bit worried pulling him out again after he ran over four miles here on Thursday."
"He did it so easy and I'm delighted for Nina, Drombeag ran a cracker too."
"We're thinking of going to France, there are running a new cross-country series on the 13th of May. The race is over four and a half miles and is worth one hundred and twelve thousand."
"He likes good ground and L'Ami maybe considered for the race too."
