The beautifully-bred Finsceal Luas gained valuable wining brackets in the opening nine furlong maiden at Leopardstown this afternoon.
Jim Bolger 's daughter of Camelot and dual Guineas winner Finsceal Beo had been runner-up on her last two starts and went to post a 1/3 shot to open her account today.
Declan McDonogh tracked front-runner Molto Amichi on his mount before asking her to hit the front inside the final furlong.
The hotpot soon asserted and stayed on strongly in the closing stages to post a length-and-a-quarter success.
Travelling head lad Ger Flynn said:- “She deserved that. Declan said that the headwind is very strong so he wanted to drop her in and get a lead.
“He said she did it well within herself and went away easy at the line. It's nice to get her across the line.
“I don't think Listowel suited her and the last day in Naas the trip was probably a little bit too short for her but you have to take the opportunities that are there.
“Micheal (Ryan) and Jim have been very patient with her and that's paid off today.
“I think that could be it for the year and that they'll bring her back next year as a four-year-old.”
