Easy for Zaidpour in Tara
As the betting suggested Zaidpour took the Grade 2 Tara Hurdle with ease, the long-odds on favourite comprehensively outpointing his three rivals in the two and a half miler.
The successful son of Red Ransom quickened on from before the final hurdle under Ruby Walsh to beat outsider Benash by ten lengths. Prima Vista finished last of the four – probably needing his first outing after 226 days off the track (as the betting strongly hinted).
Winning trainer Willie Mullins said: "That was a good performance. He is starting to do what I thought he'd do last year.
"I've a new girl riding him out, and she seems to be doing a good job. She's (Virginie Bascop) a former dressage rider.
"He's doing a lot of work on the sand and that seems to be paying off.
"He's holding his action better. The most important thing for him is to be able to keep his action, he lost it last year.
"I doubt that he'll run at Christmas. We'll find something for him over two and a half miles in the New Year. He'd have no problem going back in trip either as he is well up to speed."
