Comanche Brave enjoyed a smooth success in the juvenile colts and gelding maiden at Cork to the joy of those who played the 8/13 odds.
The favourite tanked along prominently for Gavin Ryan and cruised to the front a quarter of a mile from home.
He was pushed along to assert a furlong down and powered clear by four and a-half lengths. Elusive Duke (66/1) picked up a runner-up prize and was two and a-quarter lengths in front of Aston Value (22/1).
Comanche Brave's debut saw him finish fourth in a Curragh maiden in which the form is working out very well.
Ryan said: "He was a bit awkward and jumped slowly the first day and was never able to get into a good position. He rolled around for pretty much the whole race, but he finished off well that day, and we fancied him today.
"He jumped smart, travelled through the first half of the race well and when I asked him to quicken up, he did so really easily. He is very straightforward, he goes on any ground and has a lovely, lovely attitude.
"He has plenty gears and six furlongs is probably ideal for him as he travels well early on."
