Jack Absolute in the colours of John Kierans, of Anglo Printers, responsible for the Limerick racecard and many others throughout the country, won the Millenium Machinery Handicap Chase to credit Kevin Coleman with a deserved success after he'd been unlucky on Crimson Heather in the previous event.

The latter had made a bad mistake two out and a similar blunder by Bobbawn helped Jack Absolute to go on and account for that rival by four lengths.

John Joe Walsh trains the grey and he was no great result for the bookmakers either as he was second favourite as was Fortune Seeker half-an-hour earlier to go with four winning market-leaders. (EM)
