Brave Display came home best to land the opening Dundalk Business Club 2018 Handicap on the polytrack tonight.
Try as she might, favourite and pace-setter, Oneoveryou couldn't fend them off, and in the end Brave Display (Chris Hayes up) had just a neck to spare over Plough Boy Geological stayed on for third, a length and three parts further back, with the aforementioned Oneoveryou fourth.
Brave Display's trainer Patrick Prendergast said afterwards: "He's after winning three now and loves it up here. The last day I was a little disappointed, and really I only ran today because there were only six runners and if we beat one we'd get a cheque. Anything else was a bonus and it was a big bonus!
"I think there is another little handicap in him up here or maybe on the grass on fast ground but we'll probably have to go back to using an apprentice again. He goes well for an apprentice.
"He doesn't quite get seven and six is probably his best trip. He's on his head a little bit over five but a true run five, which it was tonight, suits him."
