Emmet McNamara got the Ger Lyons trained Boom To Bust back up to beat Cheval Rouge in the Glebe House Stud Handicap.
The 4yo son of Big Bad Bob improved to lead two furlongs out but was challenged by Cheval Rouge a furlong from home.
The duo then battled out the finish with Boom To Bust just getting back up close home to score by a neck at the line.
The winner was returned at 3/1 with the Sam James ridden and Harry Rogers trained runner-up returned at 2/1.
The Ken Condon trained Little Arrows was sent off the 7/4 favourite but he could only manage fourth of the five under Shane Foley.
The Anamoine Limited owned winning gelding was recording his second successive victory having won last time out at Naas in late June.
Shane Lyons, assistant trainer to his brother Ger, said afterwards: "He won his maiden on firm ground here and he likes it here. Now he has won on soft ground here.
"He’s a grand servant for the yard and he pays his way. He will probably go for another handicap now."
Winning rider Emmet McNamara said afterwards: “The blinkers have sharpened him up."
