Awhile stepped forward nicely from her debut run to record a cosy success in the Soldiers Call @Ballyhane Fillies Maiden at Fairyhouse.
Seamie Heffernan tracked the leaders on the daughter of War Front in the seven-furlong contest before sending her to the front passing the two pole.
The Aidan O'Brien-trained filly was soon in control and was easing up near the line to post a length-and-a-quarter margin over Adelisa
Awhile is out of Oaks runner-up Wonder Of Wonders and Heffernan said of her afterwards:-
“She has a beautiful pedigree, it has taken her a while to get strong but she couldn't have won any easier. She has a fair bit of ability, she's a lovely filly.”
