Second reserve Apt ran out the two and a half lengths of the Golden Olive Maiden for trainer David Wachman and jockey Declan McDonogh.

The son of Danetime made all before stretching clear inside the final furlong for a comfortable success.

Wachman was represented by head lad Pierse Bower who mentioned "Apt is a nice type and may now be stepped up in grade."
