The Paul Nolan trained Alpha Ridge under Alain Cawley, landed the opening Listed Newenham Mulligan Novice Hurdle at Limerick today.

The son of Glacial Storm, previously successful at the same venue last Christmas before adding to his total at Listowel recently, made all before staying on for a game six length win over Conclave

Afterwards Nolan reported "Glacial Ridge is a real chaser in the making and he has come on a nice bit since his win at Listowel."

He added "he'll stay handicapping now and will probably go for a 3m handicap hurdle at Leopardstown during Christmas."
