Ross O'Sullivan 'wouldn't swap' Slurricane when he lines up for the Fred Winter on the opening day of the Cheltenham Festival tomorrow.

The Kodiac gelding got off the mark over flights at Punchestown in January and all roads since then have led to Prestbury Park.

The trainer said: “We’re really looking forward to it.

"He’s going to be 25/1, but he’s very consistent and it’s a wide open race with so many horses with a chance in it.

“I wouldn’t swap him. He’s honest, he jumps and he stays. I’m very happy with him.

“He’s very versatile as he’s gone on all types of ground.”

Tom Harney takes 5lb off Slurricane's back.

Fellow Irish raider Total Look, trained by Gavin Cromwell, disputes favouritism with France-based Stencil for this extended two-mile contest.
