Gordon Elliott's Jetstream Jack booked his ticket for one of the Cheltenham handicaps with a hard-fought win at Musselburgh.
Having had the misfortune to bump into a couple of Willie Mullins inmates on his last two starts, Thomas Hobson and Up For Review he found things easier in Scotland. Blue Rambler a smart horse on the level for Andre Fabre, made him pull out all the stops, though.
In truth, Richard Johnson's mount never looked like being beaten but the 30-100 favourite only had half a length in hand at the line.
Elliott has intimated the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle could be the right race in March.
