Cappadocia was delivered late to take Division Two of Dundalk's six-furlong handicap.
The eight-year-old gelding landed a morning-price gamble having been as big as 18/1 and was backed throughout the day before going off at 9/1.
This was his fourth success over the six furlong trip on the Polytrack.
Ronan Whelan asked him for his effort over a furlong out and he found another gear to come between horses and lead in the final 150 yards.
He kept on well to see off Clare Island (9/1) by half a length. A Likely Story the 3/1 favourite, was a nose behind in third.
Handler Mark Fahey said: “Ronan gave him a brilliant ride. He had a good run in Galway after a long break, and this race came up nicely for him.
"This is his fourth win around here and he’s a great fun horse. We’ll be back here over the winter.”
