Wexford Wrap-Up
Scolboa King landed a gamble in the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle for Sean Treacy and David Flannery (14s in the morning into 6/1).
There was one unit remaining in the Jackpot going into this final leg, on Tippeenan Lass but that investor who stood to claim a 25,715.00 Euro pool, saw their mare get hampered early and she was never a factor thereafter.
The Jackpot, which had been rolled over from Leopardstown on Thursday, now goes to the Curragh on Sunday.
Meanwhile Charlie Swan introduced a nice newcomer in the bumper in the shape of Raise You Ten Things didn't go to plan for this one as he was slowly away, but he showed himself to be a good prospect with a two and a half length win over market rival, Miss Maranello
Swan said of the J P Magnier ridden 7/4 favourite, "He is a lovely big horse. We will train him for the spring of the year. He is only four and coming to himself. He has been in a long time and he ran a bit free there after not getting away in the position we'd hoped for. He is a nice one to look forward to."
Elsewhere Conor O'Farrell dislocated his shoulder off the ill-fated Tobar Na Gloc in the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle. The doctor put it back in but the Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny rider was concussed and he was taken to the local hospital.
