"He did it well. He ran Tuesday up the north and it was the first time with cheek-pieces on him," explained handler Shane Nolan after Ubanist landed some bets in the Adare Manor Opportunity Handicap Hurdle at Punchestown.
Backed from 4/1 into 3/1 co favouritism, Ubanist had Eoin O'Connell in the plate for this two miler, and he raced in mid-division here.
He then made headway travelling well after two out, leading approaching the last.
Pushed along Urbanist soon asserted on the run-in, keeping on well for an easy four and three parts of a length verdict over Glen's Dd
"He was running with a hood because he was a little bit lit up but he seems to be a lot more relaxed now so we swapped them for the cheek-pieces," elaborated Nolan.
"He ran well on Tuesday and we said we'd take a chance, when there wasn't many declared, and run him again."
