McCreery & Cash complete Killarney double

Barry Cash and Willie McCreery recorded a double this evening when Alpine Glade took the Lakehotel.com Handicap Hurdle.

Cash who settled his mount in rear made his progress from the before the second last, the pair kept on well to get up and lead on the run-in for a cosy five length win.

A delighted McCreery said afterwards: “She hit the second in the Galway Hurdle and she just didn’t jump the easyfix hurdles well.”

“She only woke up on the second circuit and they went a good steady pace.”

“I’d love to try and get a bit of black type for her, we’ll go back on the flat on anything from a mile to a mile and six.”

“This will be her last year as she’ll go in foal next year.”
