McConnell happy with Lyle Lady
Curragh trainer John McConnell was continuing his good run after his charge Lyle Lady came home in front of the Tally Ho Stud Auction Maiden in the hands of Shane ‘Dusty’ Foley in the colours of the Lyle House Syndicate.
Winning trainer McConnell said afterwards: “Job done really. Her half brother was sold yesterday for €77,000 at the Doncaster Sales.”
“She’s a tough genuine filly, she won’t do too much more this season. I think she’ll be much better as a three year old.”
“She was very difficult temperament wise back in the Spring but we thank god we got her going in the right way.”
“Shane said he got in trouble early on and had to give her a few cracks but she won well enough in the end.”
