The Peter Casey trained Hello Humpfrey bounced back to his best as he recorded his third course and distance win at Dundalk in the first division of the Dundalk Stadium - Light Up Your Night Handicap.

Having won two in-a-row back in November of 2013, the seven-year-old son of Hurricane Run had one more run the following month before he was off the track for a year and a half.

Twice fifth earlier this winter he disappointed on his last outing and was sent off a 16/1 chance this evening.

Drawn on the outer in stall fourteen he raced towards rear under Robbie Downey.

He was pushed along entering the straight and soon made progress on the outer, hitting the front from the furlong pole before keeping on well in the closing stages to score by a length and a half.

The grey Honor Oak (14/1) finished second under Sean Corby for Tom Hogan, while Gun Shoot was a neck back in third under Padraig Beggy for Pat Martin at 16/1. Swift Harry was the only one punters wanted to know about and having started at 11/2 last night he opened on-course the clear 6/4 favourite, the price at which he was returned.

Making his debut for Denis Cullen the son of Lahib could only manage fourth under Billy Lee.

Francis Casey, son of the winner trainer, said afterwards: "He might come back next week."

Thankfully Mark Enright was okay after his mount Joyful Sound slipped up before the straight.
