After being placed on four of her five previous visits to Ballinrobe, Bryon Beauty got a deserved win to her name at the Co Mayo venue, as she took the feature Treacy's Pharmacies Irish EBF Fillies Handicap.
Third and fifth on her first two starts this season, the daughter of Byron was sent off at 10/1 this evening under Chris Hayes.
Settled in mid-division, the Harry Rogers trained victor was fifth with four furlongs left to race.
She was ridden to challenge on the outer from the two furlong pole, and swept through to lead as they entered the straight, keeping on well to score by five and a half lengths. Bibliotheca (16/1) finished second under Leigh Roche for Willie Browne, while Creeping Ivy (5/1) was a short head back in third for Oisin Orr and Tony Martin.
.Chocolat Noir was sent off the 7/2 favourite (from 9/2) and she finished fifth, fading tamely once head from the two furlong pole.
Rogers said afterwards: "It's nice to get it and it's a nice prize.
"She always promised to get it right and she got it right today. She's not a bad filly in her own right.
"She travelled the whole way and it worked out well. She stays well.
"She might go to Bellewstown. There is a mile-and-six there and she might run in it. We'll see what the handicapper does.
"It was 15 grand and that's the most important thing. It's for a very important owner (his wife, Mary Rogers)!"
