Henry de Bromhead completed a quick-fire double at Thurles as Mount Hanover made all in the Horse And Jockey Rated Novice Hurdle.

The Kayf Tara gelding, sporting the Special Tiara colours of Sally Rowley-Williams, won a Fairyhouse maiden over this 2m4f trip before Christmas and Dylan Robinson was again in the saddle.

The well-backed 2/1 chance asserted in the straight and was about two lengths up on Tourboy when that rival fell at the last.

The lightly-raced seven-year-old gelding stayed on well on the run-in to beat 11/8 favourite Didero Vallis by three and a half lengths, with Great Trango another length back in third.

De Bromhead said, "He is tough as he looked beaten again today but puts his head down and keeps going. He likes to tank away a little bit and is very genuine and I'm delighted with him.

"He's got a couple of entries in Cheltenham and the Michael Purcell race back here in March is another contender. I'll speak to Sally (Rowley-Williams, owner)) and see what she'd like to do. He'll definitely go chasing next season as that's really his game.

De Bromhead was also on the mark half-an-hour earlier when Or Jaune De Somoza landed the maiden hurdle at odds of 5/4 under Davy Russell.
