Cerveza Dinero followed up on his recent win at Kilbeggan as he took the second division of the Bellewstown Golfcourse Handicap Hurdle under his trainer/rider Denis Hogan.

The nine-year-old son of Karinga Bay got twelve pounds for winning at Kilbeggan and he had to contend with top-weight this afternoon.

Having chased the leaders for much of the contest he made headway at the third last and he was ridden in a close third two out.

He hit the front on the run to the last and he kept on well on the run-in to score by three and three parts of a length. Ahorsecalledmolly finished second under Robbie Colgan for Andrew Lynch at 14/1, while Miss Penny Pincher was a further two and a quarter lengths back in third under Davy Condon for Des McDonogh at 6/1.

Urhavingalaugh completed the placings, a half a length back in fourth under ‘Slippers’ Madden for his father ‘Boots’, while the 3/1 favourite Baby’s Hot finished back in fifth under Ruby Walsh for Dessie Hughes.

Denis Hogan said afterwards: "He got an awful hike for winning in Kilbeggan but he is gutsy and he loves the good ground.

"There is races for him in Killarney and Galway so we will have a look at those.

"He is owned by a great bunch of lads (the Winonesoon Syndicate) and they are mainly from my area, the Toomevara, Nenagh area, with a few of them from England as well.

"I’d also like to give Anne Grace a special mention. She did a lot of work to get this horse back sound and she led him up today."
