He may have been a Grade 1 winner in his time, but that was his last win and it came over two years ago now, so it wasn't any great surprise to see Follow The Plan go off a 25/1 chance (from 50s) for the Grade 2 Matty Ryan Memorial Kinloch Brae Chase, a price he defied at Thurles under a confident Paddy Mangan ride.

If ever a horse deserved to win it was him. He is top class when things go right. I couldn't be happier to see him win. He can be a bit hot headed at times but Andrew said he was a gent throughout the race. He is in again tomorrow (a 2m 4f hurdle) and I'll see how he is before deciding whether to race or not. After that we have no plans.

He was unlucky at Cheltenham. He landed on top of the fifth fence and it was goodnight then. You can put a line through that and he schooled since at Naas under Carberry and went well. He jumped brilliantly today and he couldn't have done it any better. He's been an unlucky horse and I'd suppose I'll stick him in a few races at Cheltenham and Fairyhouse and we'll see what happens in the meantime.

He's done it well and deserved that. He jumped well, particularly at those fences before the straight and that really kept him in the race. Davy still had a bit of horse at the finish. He has plenty of options at Christmas and we'll decide in a few weeks as to where he'll run. He is in the Lexus and if it cut up into a small field that could be an option. He is in the Dial-A-Bet over two miles too . he has plenty of entries.

His strong point is his jumping. He's as natural as I've ever seen, so nimble and accurate, and showed from the first day that he's a pure natural,. We only stuck him him tomorrow as a precaution and he won't run. Hopefully he pulls out of this well and we'll go to Punchestown. I would love to have a crack at the Grade One novice over two miles. I didn't take them on yesterday (Powers Gold Cup) as I wanted to get another run into him. The Irish ones that run yesterday would be doing well to pull out of that and win at Punchestown.

He's a pure natural. He ran in a point-to-point as a young horse and we should have went chasing last year with him,.
