The horses are all running well and while I want them peaking for Galway, it'll be grand and we'll be able to tick them over now. I'd prefer having them this way than last year, when they were flat before Galway and I ended up with four seconds. The ground turned soft for him at Clonmel and it didn't suit him and that was grand today and the ground suited. I'll keep him chasing now and he can go to Galway next.

I made the mistake and got it wrong as originally I didn't think he'd win his bumper and after his run here at the festival, we were hood-winked into running him in a bumper,. He finds another gear over a hurdle though, and he jumps a fence really well and is more of a chasing type in time - he is still only four. My other horse (Ceide Fields) also ran a blinder, and I was happy going to the last (hurdle) and obviously was delighted to win and also finish second.
