Navan Sat, 16th Nov, 2024 Home By The Lee He ran well in the race the last couple of years and he was a good bit better off at the weights this year. It is very much his first run of the year, but I thought he really went through the race well and jumped well. Danny was impressed with him. I couldn't be happier. We always keep him fresh, so we will wait for Christmas (Hurdle at Leopardstown) now and then he will go from Christmas to Cheltenham. His path kind of plots itself. |
Curragh Tue, 22nd Oct, 2024 Saracen He was impressive, he's a nice colt and had been showing up well at home,. He was going to make his debut a few weeks ago but just had a little setback. He quickened up really smartly there and looks like a smart horse for next season. I'm delighted to have, what potentially looks like, a good horse for Al Shaqab and the team. They've been good supporters of ours. This guy will come back for a Guineas trial in the spring. We were a little bit worried about ground conditions but you have no choice at this time of year. We were hopeful that he'd cope with them but given his pedigree and how he looks I'd expect him to be better on a faster surface. Obviously he'll have no problem going a bit further as well, given his pedigree. He's a smart colt and Dylan said he felt like he has a lot of speed. |
Leopardstown Sat, 19th Oct, 2024 Sigh No More She got a lovely ride from Mikey and the race set up very well,. She's as tough as nails, she's progressive and she's never run a bad race. I'm delighted to win a big pot and a group race for a big ownership group, a lot of them are here today. She's gone well on a better surface as well so she's very versatile ground-wise but she does certainly handle soft conditions. There is a big team of people in the filly and everyone will get a great kick out of it. She's been a model of consistency. We've had a great year with her so far and it's great to finish it off with a big win. |
