Summerville Boy the Supreme Novice hero
I thought I was gone at the second-last, I must have lost five, six lengths, but he was brave and fought back well. He was my best chance of the day, but you need a lot of luck. I thought if he didn't fire today I might be struggling, but what a horse. I'm delighted, it's a great start to the week. He got into the race and made his mistakes all at the wrong time. It shows you what he might have done had he not made those mistakes. He's a brave, tough horse and it's a privilege to have him. He beat Kalashnikov fair and square in the Tolworth, four lengths going away. Today, we made some mistakes which made it a bit closer, but he's done it and that's the most important thing.

Footpad and Walsh the punters darlings in the Arkle
Going past the stands the first time, the horse was off the bridle and looking at the big screens - when he made that bad mistake, I thought it was over. He was off the bridle the whole way down the back, but Ruby just sat and sat and knew the ones in front were going too fast. We know he stays. It's a surprise to us that he's able to win an Arkle. We had him down as our two-and-a-half-mile horse for this year, JLT or possibly RSA, but then when he came out and did what he did in his first two races we said we were in the wrong division and should go back for the Arkle, and he's done that now. I doubt I've had one improve so much from hurdles to fences. His jumping has just brought him up another gear. He could be a Gold Cup horse. Lots of Gold Cup horses have won the Arkle and this fellow is much more laid back than some. I think we will have a good chat with connections and see if they would like to go in that direction. He has plenty of stamina.

Lizzie Kelly rides her first Cheltenham Festival winner
My heart was absolutely pounding. I was jumping up and down myself in the closing stages. I couldn't believe it halfway up the run-in when I thought we might get caught again (like Maljamar, beaten a neck at Cheltenham in 2009). The expectation for a six-year-old novice was massive, but he's always run well here. It's his track. It's fantastic to win, it had all looked to be going to plan up until the final fence and then the other horse started closing with every stride. It's fantastic for Lizzie - her first Festival winner. It couldn't be better. It was all perfection.

Buveur D'Air battles hard to retain Champion crown
He was tough and what a great race. They've gone a gallop there you wouldn't believe they would keep up in that ground, and they have quickened again all the way up the hill. Two very brave horses and two great jockeys - I'm sure we got headed at the last and he was brave to come back. He had a battle on his hands today and in a funny way that's the first race he's had this year. It's just been in the back of my mind and has always worried me. That was the first time he's had to put his head down and fight.

Rathvinden brings up opening day treble for Mullins
I've just spoken to the vet and he said he's fine, just exhausted. He felt it was safer to take him back to the stables than the razzmatazz of the paddock. They'll just throw lots of water on him. He's taking the odd step, then a wobble. I imagine any athlete after four miles would be a little tired.
