Review naas 6th Jun
< Lilbourne Lad looks a horse with a bright future ahead of him after blitzing the field in the Alfred Nobel Rochestown Stakes at Naas.
Richard Hughes was a brief visitor to the track to ride the horse for his boss Richard Hannon, and soon had the 9-4 chance at the head of the field.
Once Hughes asked him to quicken away, the response was electric, and he pulled six lengths clear of Snowflake Dancer to land this Listed prize.
The well-backed Teolane showed no ill effects from being brought out quickly after her Leopardstown success eight days earlier as landed the Coolmore Stud EBF Fillies Sprint Stakes.
Always to the fore under Kevin Manning, the 11-10 favourite was too strong for Princess Sinead winning by two and a half lengths.
Kevin Prendergast and Declan McDonogh enjoyed a double, culminating in Rose Bonheur s win in the Listed Owenstown Stud Stakes.
The 9-2 favourite was ninth in the Irish 1000 Guineas when last seen, but the drop to this trip suited as expected.< Blaze Brightly fought hard in the home straight to thwart Rose Bonheur, but she finally got on top at the furlong marker and land the spoils by two lengths.
The double was initiated when Brown Butterfly (13-2) took an age to reel in pacesetter Ballroom in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden, but once she did get on top in the final furlong, she strode four and a half lengths clear.
Cecil Ross' Six Of Hearts squeezed between rivals to strike at 7-1 in the www.thetote.com Community Raceday Handicap, while the Paul Byrne Memorial Handicap went to David Wachman's 7-1 chance Jambalaya
Noel Meade and Johnny Murtagh teamed up to good effect in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap when Leceile (16-1) ran out a four and a half-length winner.
