Dermot Weld warmed up for Galway as Firey Red landed the Weatherbys Ireland GSB Ltd Supporting I.T.B.A Race at Naas.

It took a while for the 5-4 favourite to get on top of long-time leader Drumbeat - adopting a change of tactics from his well-publicised defeat at Gowran - and Seachantach but she eventually asserted inside the final furlong before scoring by a length and three-quarters.

Winning trainer Jim Gorman reported: "Five or six furlongs is his trip so we'll go the nursery route with him. He is a tough, professional sort."

There will be few easier winners than Bean Uasal as he absolutely bolted up to get off the mark at the fourth time of asking in the Irish National Stud Supporting I.T.B.A Maiden.

John Oxx's colt ploughed down the middle of the track under Mick Kinane and was fully five and a half lengths clear of Good To Follow with 2-1 favourite Silca Sunset third.

Oxx said: "She got through the ground well and that was a big
