Eddie Lynam secured a double at Naas when Anthem Alexander got up late to land the Group Three Racing Post Lacken Stakes.< The Happy Prince led into the final furlong, but Pat Smullen timed his run right on the 5-2 chance, as she cut down the leader to win going away by a length, with favourite Toscanini back in third.
Lynam earlier struck when Ortiga (9-1) ran out a convincing winner of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden under Gary Carroll.
Richard Hannon's Great Page impressed when getting back to winning ways in the Coolmore Stud EBF Fillies' Sprint Stakes.
Held up off the pace in a Listed race that looked wide open approaching the final furlong, Sean Levey pressed the button on the 4-1 winner and the response was immediate, as she swept clear to record a three-length victory over Special Focus < Argentero lowered the colours of new Godolphin recruit Birchwood in the Coolmore War Command Rochestown Stakes.
Ger Lyons' 15-8 chance was held up last of the quartet in the early stages by Colin Keane, but tracked Birchwood through over two furlongs out and got on top of the odds-on market leader in the final furlong, eventually running out a two-length winner of the Listed contest over Galway Bay who ran on for second.< Heaven's Guest finished strongest of all to give Richard Fahey victory in the Listed Owenstown Stud Stakes.< Lat Hawill and Stay De Night had a narrow advantage at the furlong pole, but James Doyle drove the 2-1 favourite upsides, before going on to beat Lat Hawill by half a length.
Andrew Oliver's Vitally Important (10-1) bounced back to his best form with an authoritative victory in the New BBQ Evening Format At Naas Handicap under Fran Berry.< Lily's Rainbow (4-1) responded well to Wayne Lordan's urgings to land the Follow Us On Facebook Handicap for Denise Foster.
