< Bob Lingo (16/1) ground out a determined success in the www.thetote.com Galway Plate Handicap Chase, the feature event of the Ballybrit extravaganza.
Campaigned over hurdles and on the Flat since a good third at the Punchestown Festival, he raced prominently but looked booked for minor honours at best when Casey Top set sail for home.
But Mark Walsh gradually worked him back into contention and he found most under pressure in the closing stages to prevail by five lengths from Casey Top, with Blackstairmountain third.
The colours of Blackstairmountain were carried to success when Fatcatinthehat struck in the Bet 10 Euros, Get 10 Euros At The Tote Marquee (QR) Maiden.
Patrick Mullins went for home before the straight on his father Willie's 2/1 market leader and still had six lengths in hand of Three Kingdoms at the line.
Dermot Weld landed his fifth victory of the meeting when Diplomatic (4/1) got up in the last strides to deny Our Conor in the Tote Trifecta Rollover Handicap, and made it six when Tandem took the Tote Return All Profits To Irish Racing Maiden with the minimum of fuss.
Stuart Weld, a second cousin of the master of Rosewell, also found himself on the scoresheet when his 20/1 outsider Gris Ladera broke her duck in the www.totegoracingclub.com Handicap
There was a thrilling finish to the Tote Pick Six Maiden Hurdle, with Gold Ability and Too Scoops locked together after the last, and although neither refused to budge an inch, it was Gold Ability who just prevailed as an 8/1 chance.
Too Scoops' rider Davy Russell again had to settle for second when his mount Lough Ferrib who looked the likely winner when shooting clear round the turn, was caught in the closing stages of the New Website "thetote.com" Handicap Hurdle by 14/1 shot Get In There while Novarov (9/2 favourite) overcame top-weight and a last-flight blunder to take the Tote Jackpot Races 3 To 6 Handicap Hurdle.
